Today (May 30) Yvette, Jarrett, Rick, and Bill will cut out the broken pipe, haul 8 inch pipe from the boneyard, and attempt to repair the outlet on the box. When the couplings arrive next Tuesday, Rick and Bill will finish repairs (we hope). He had just returned from a visit to inspect the Kelly Creek water and power lines. We will need to replace 3 joints of water line. Two were identified flattened last fall and a third this winter. The power line is worse. Most 8 inch pvc pipe that runs from the box to the road is damaged and will need to be replaced. In addition, the flange coming out of the box is damaged and will require some of Frank's engineering. For those coming ... He did a quick walk around camp and said that everything looked good---however----not the water line. He sent some pictures that he took from the bridge area that showed more damage to the water line over the winter. There were probably 20 trees down on the road and the road was covered in snow and ice (almost 3 feet deep near Kelly Creek. Snow was almost gone around our cabins (except what slid off roofs). Everyone's cabin looked to have weathered another winter well. I e-mailed Wendy Ross to let her know that trees would need to be removed and she replyed that she had forwarded my message to the road crew. I've got a message on camp ...
